Interesting series of photos, Vern. It looks like it was a great day to be there. Is it annual at about the same time?

Thanks, Ed. Last year it was held Feb. 2nd but I don't know much about it. Jay is more intimate with the event and might be able to add something.

The Drum Factory Museum is also open for tours on that day as is the actural workshops that are still producing wood drums today although on a much smaller scale than it once was.

Boy Vern, seeing ice harvested like that must have brought back some old memories...... Wink

Actually, this was the first time I saw ice being harvested. But, to make Jay feel good, I do remember ice blocks being delivered to my grandparents house for their ice box. I also recall a corner of their barn stocked with ice which was covered with sawdust to slow down melting. They kept homemade rootbeer there which would stay cold into the summer.
