    Orion - Christmas Night

As I have been catching up on the forum discussions, I noted the thread on night sky photography so thought it might be worthwhile to post this here as an illustration of what can be done with somewhat limited equipment. I used infinity focus as I recall since autofocus won't work worth a darn in these conditions, ISO 400, 16 seconds exposure (longest my camera will allow), and f3.2

I didn't mention it in the description, but stars were invisible in the viewfinder, so manual focus was not an option.
